Dublin Library’s First Thursdays programming continues with Nature Calls – Walking Your Local Parks.  This program will identify the many beautiful parks and trails in the Tri-Valley area which provide opportunities to improve your physical and mental health while enjoying natural surroundings.  We know that we need regular exercise to maintain our health, and some of us walk regularly from our house to work or to do some light shopping. But are we aware of the many city and regional parks and trails available to us?

Walking in a place removed from the rush of everyday life can help reduce stress and assist the healing process of recovery from the death of a loved one or another significant event.

Our presenter is Richard Guarienti, a long-time volunteer for the City of Dublin and the East Bay Regional Park District.  He is the founder of the Tri-Valley Trail Trekkers hiking group and the Dublin Path Wanderers walking group.

Handout materials and some maps of the parks and trails covered in the program will be provided.

This free program will be presented on Thursday, June 2nd, 2016, from 2:00 – 3:00 Pm in the Dublin Library Program Room.  For further details, call 925-803-7252.
