Do you enjoy reading books and sharing your reactions to the book with others? Then welcome to Dublin Library’s Second Thursday Book Discussion Group. This group of adult readers meets on the second Thursday of every month in the Dublin Library Program Room at 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM. Participants have read the same book and share their ideas during a moderated discussion.

The book for discussion on June 11th is “A Wedding in Haiti,” by Julia Alvarez. In this true account of a promise kept, Alvarez takes us on a journey into into the past and present regarding the history shared between her native Dominican Republic and the neighboring nation of Haiti.

If you wish to join the group, come to the Adult Information Desk and pick up a copy of the book to be discussed at the next meeting. The group size is limited to 10 people.
