Come to the Dublin Library Community Room at 2:00 PM, Saturday, August 23, 2014, and hear author Rosemary Gong, author of Good Luck Life: The Essential Guide to Chinese American Celebrations and Culture, as she speaks about the Chinese Mid-Autumn Moon Festival.

The Moon Festival is a holiday of thanksgiving, when wishes are sent to the Moon Goddess, moon cakes are shared following a family dinner, and the year’s brightest moon is worshiped. This holiday is celebrated on the fifteenth day of the eighth lunar month, and usually falls in September in the Western calendar.

Admission is limited to the first 100 people.
