Dublin Library is pleased to host a program of excerpts from Gioachino Rossini’s opera “La Cenerentola” (Cinderella) on Sunday, February 23rd, from 2:00 to 3:30 PM in the Dublin Library Community Room. Rossini brought a childlike wonder and master comedy to a beloved fairytale classic as he created a handsome prince, a nasty stepfather, ugly stepsisters, and a beautiful heroine and magic in his music.

Soprano Emma McNairy (Clorinda – one of Cinderella’s stepsisters) and baritone Daniel Cilli (Dandini, the Prince’s valet) will be performing.

Be sure to see this free preview of Livermore Valley Opera’s upcoming performances of Cinderella at the Bankhead Theater, opening on March 15th. Seating is limited to the first 100 attendees.

This free program was generously funded by the Friends of the Dublin Library.
