Together with the release of the American Community Survey five-year estimates, the U.S. Census Bureau will release “Easy Stats,”an online tool developed to make statistics quicker and easier to access. The interactive tool provides selected demographic and economic statistics from the American Community Survey. “Easy Stats” allows searching by geography down to the local level, including incorporated places like cities and towns and census designated places. “Easy Stats” will allow researchers to view detailed race, age and gender breakdowns, and compare communities.

The new web tool will be available beginning Thursday, December 5, 2012 at:  https://www.census.gov/easystats/

The Census Bureau also says the QuickFacts site will also be updated tomorrow with the new American Community Survey statistics.  QuickFacts includes statistics for all states and counties, and for cities and towns with more than 5,000 people.

Census information at the state and federal level and United Nations World Statistics can be accessed through your library using the Reference Libguide.
