If you are currently looking for work, you now have another useful tool in your search for a new job.  JobScout is a new online learning and social media platform that will teach you the basic Internet skills you need to find a job.   You can find JobSearch on the Alameda County Library webpage under “Job Search” in the dropdown menu under the heading “Research”.

JobScout will help you learn practical Internet search skills, how to network to learn about suitable job openings, and how to create a resume and cover letter than will help you get more job interviews.   JobScout is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Grant money for the JobScout program was provided by the California State Library, through the Link Americas Foundation.

Alameda County Library System is pleased to join many other library systems in California (including County of Los Angeles Public Library, Los Gatos Public Library, Palo Alto City Library, and San Jose Public Library) which offer JobScout to their users.
