Did you know that identity theft is the fastest growing crime in America?  Victims of identity theft can and do suffer both mentally and physically.

Do you know how to protect yourself in public from robbery and assault?

If you don’t feel you are well informed on preventing identity theft and maintaining your personal safety, you will want to attend two workshops presented by Val Ridad, Community Safety Assistant with the Dublin Police Services.

Val Ridad’s workshop on Identity Theft, on Saturday, June 12th from 2 – 4 p.m., will tell you how to minimize your chances of being a victim of identity theft, and what you should do if you are a victim.

Her workshop on Personal Safety, on Saturday, June 19th from 2 – 4 p.m., will cover personal safety, home security, safety in your vehicle, Internet safety, sex offender awareness, and personal self-defense.

Both workshops will be free of charge and held in the Community Room of the Dublin Library.  We hope you’ll take advantage of these informative workshops.
